Thier were diffrent types of armor like chain mail, gothic armor, and plate armor. The first sword was made out of celtic armor. Horses also wore armor to protect thier heads and body but not thier legs. The knights did not put to many layers of armor on the horse or else the horse would get tired and sweaty. The knight wore three layers of armor and they were made out of silver, and goat skin.
